Hey Youtube fans / subscribers.

If you like my Youtube channel and want me to keep making more content, please help support my channel. Between running this company (One Smart Lab -> which, btw, is not profitable… <insert *aww*>, so don’t think I’m making bazillions of dollars) and my personal life, I try to squeeze as much as I can to publish videos.

But there is only 24 hours in a day.

If you like the content I put out, please consider supporting my channel. The more that I can create an income from making videos, the greater the time I can free up to making stuff you actually want to see.

(Sorry for PayPal only.. i’ll eventually have regular CC / Bitcoin but i think this suffices for now)

Why Do I Do What I Do

In 2008, my business (something else, not this) was doing spectacular.

It took 5 years to build up .. then it came crashing down in months.

I was sad. No, I was depressed.

I’m not a religious man, but still, I remember this quote from Joel Osteen (the televangelist from Houston, TX) who said:

Don’t die with the treasure still on the inside

You have something to offer this world that nobody else can offer.

You are unique, one of a kind.

You are anointed to be you.

Be confident in who God made you to be, knowing that you’ve got what it takes to step in to the fullness of your destiny.

-Joel Osteen

Yeah, I know. Completely cheesy.

I’m not the one to fall for this “law of attraction” stuff… but then, I went to travel in Thailand, where I completed a silent week long meditation at Wat Mahathat in Bangkok, Thailand (Yeah it’s dumb, but I saw the movie “Eat Pray Love” and I literally followed what juliet roberts did):

I did couple of more visits to SE Asia after that, in attempts to “find” myself… only to discover that getting lost is the truly the only way to find anything.

But it’s interesting how even Buddhists (with ZERO judeo-christian background) say the same thing – teach & give. That’s the only way to free ourselves from our own clutches of desire & self-torture.

Teaching what I’ve learned in ecommerce, online advertising, machine learning, and finance is my way of giving back.

Would love to tell you that I’m an overnight success, but I’m not.  I’m still on the journey to success like the most of you are.

I may not be the best teacher on the planet, but heck, i’m not dying with any treasure in my heart.

If someone can take my knowledge and create a greater impact on the world than I can, let it be.

Maybe this is my way of trying to “fulfill my destiny”.
